Congress delegation seeks fresh voters’ list after mapping, flags ‘lapses’
Congress leaders led by Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar met with the State Election Commissioner (SEC) to express concerns about lapses in the ongoing voter list revision ahead of local body elections. The delegation alleged that genuine voters were deleted without proper verification, families were assigned to different polling booths, and mapping was not done correctly. They demanded a comprehensive audit, restoration of wrongly removed voters, and a new voter list after proper mapping. The delegation also requested the SEC to suspend BLOs involved in irregularities and allow political parties to review the revised rolls before publication.
