₹1,877 crore allocated for rural poverty alleviation in Budget: MSME Minister
MSME and SERP Minister Kondapalli Srinivas announced a ₹1,877 crore allocation for rural poverty alleviation programs in the 2026-2027 fiscal year. The increase of ₹143 crore from the previous year reflects the government's commitment to empowering women in Self-Help Groups and strengthening rural livelihoods. Funds will be allocated towards salaries, honorariums, office maintenance, and various other initiatives under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Rural Livelihoods Mission, Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme, Mahila Kisan Sashaktikaran Pariyojana, and Rural Self Employment Training Institutes.
