DCCB should give farm loans irrespective of losses, says Minister

District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB) is obligated to provide loans to farmers, according to Satish Jarkiholi, the district in-charge minister. He refuted claims by Anna Saheb Jolle, Belagavi DCCB chairman, that giving farm loans would cause losses for the bank, stating that the bank must follow government policies and guidelines set forth by the RBI and NABARD. The minister also confirmed that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will address legislators' demands for funds to develop their constituencies, but denied any specific requests for Belagavi district.
