Naidu meets Jal Shakti Minister, seeks project clearances, funds

N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, met with C. R. Patil, Union Jal Shakti Minister, to advocate for central clearances and financial support for key irrigation and drinking water projects in the state. Naidu emphasized the importance of water security for agriculture and livelihoods, urging the Centre to expedite approvals and funding for projects like the Polavaram project and the Polavaram–Nallamala Sagar link project. He also raised concerns about inter-state water disputes with Odisha and Telangana, calling for their resolution through tribunals. The meeting highlighted Andhra Pradesh's renewed push for water justice and central support for large-scale irrigation infrastructure.
