The Trinamool Congress (TMC) did not join other Opposition parties in signing a resolution seeking the removal of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Abhishek Banerjee, the party's national general secretary and Lok Sabha leader, argued for restraint and a "constructive and calibrative" approach. Banerjee stated that the TMC had already conveyed its position to other Opposition parties and criticized the Union government for the dysfunctional functioning of the Lok Sabha.
