Kerala Assembly: Ruckus over Sabarimala gold theft row rocks House again; Speaker cuts short day’s business
Kerala Speaker A.N. Shamseer adjourned the Legislative Assembly on Thursday after a day of protests by the Congress-led UDF, who are demanding the resignation of the Devaswom Minister and an end to pressure on the special investigation team (SIT) in the Sabarimala gold theft case. The UDF members, protesting inside the House, also entered the Speaker’s dais and clashed with staff. Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal stated that the Opposition's refusal to participate in budget discussions was a challenge to the people of Kerala.
