Harassment and violence against Kashmiris outside J&K is flagged as a rising issue.
PDP MLA Waheed Ur Rehman Para raised concerns about rising incidents of harassment and violence against Kashmiri individuals outside Jammu and Kashmir during a session of the J&K Assembly. He urged the Chief Minister and the Union Home Minister to address the issue. The ruling National Conference (NC) also staged a sit-in demanding restoration of Statehood, constitutional guarantees, and an end to the harassment. Both parties called for intervention from the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
