Wangchuk denies in SC allegations of remarks about overthrowing govt like Arab Spring

Sonam Wangchuk, a climate activist detained in Jodhpur Central Jail, denied allegations that he planned to overthrow the Indian government. His lawyer, Kapil Sibal, argued that police misrepresented his statements and presented selective video footage. The hearing was adjourned until February 2nd, with a request for a specialist medical examination of Mr. Wangchuk due to reported stomach issues caused by contaminated water. The court also directed the jail authorities to provide a sealed medical report from a specialist doctor.
