Vijayaraghavan, president of the All India Agriculture Workers’ Union, expressed concern over the proposed repeal of the MGNREGA and the new VB-GRAM-G Act, arguing that women would be disproportionately affected. He urged the All India Democratic Women’s Association to join forces in opposing these policies. The association passed resolutions demanding the repeal of anti-women labor codes and a national labor policy, as well as support for safe and affordable credit for women.
