Over 40,000 farmers and workers began a massive protest march in Palghar on Sunday, January 25th, 2026, led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the All India Kisan Sabha. The march addressed issues related to agricultural and labor concerns, including neglect of Forest Rights Act (FRA) and PESA assurances, irrigation schemes, and vacancies in Zilla Parishad schools.
