Parents, citizens stage protest against closure of govt. schools

Parents, students, and youth leaders from various villages in Kalghatgi staged a protest against the closure of government schools under the Karnataka Public Schools Scheme. They criticized the scheme, which they claim will shut down all other government schools within 5 km of new magnet schools, depriving children of education. The protestors demanded the withdrawal of the orders and warned of intensifying their agitation if their demands are not met.
