Tejashwi Yadav targets Nitish government over death of NEET aspirant
Alleged sexual violence and government inaction raise serious concerns about citizen safety.
Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), criticized the Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar following the death of a NEET aspirant who was allegedly subjected to sexual violence. He accused the government of protecting criminals and perpetrating atrocities against women, citing incidents in Patna, Khagaria, and Madhepura. The Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary stated that the government would punish those responsible for the incident and has formed an SIT to investigate. Umesh Singh Kushwaha, state president of the Janata Dal (United), countered Yadav's claims, stating that the current government takes swift action against criminal incidents and that no one is above the law.
