Mamata Banerjee intends to turn West Bengal into Bangladesh, alleges BJP

The BJP national spokesperson, Sambit Patra, accused Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, of attempting to divide the state from India by inciting violence and protecting Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators. Patra compared the current situation in West Bengal to the 1905 partition of Bengal by the British, claiming that Ms. Banerjee is trying to create a "Banga Bhanga" scenario. He alleged that she is attempting to stop the Special Intensive Review (SIR) of the electoral rolls unconstitutionally and that her government is attacking constitutional processes in West Bengal. Patra also claimed that illegal immigration has altered the demographic landscape of several districts, with significant increases in Muslim populations attributed to Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators. He urged the people of West Bengal to unite against Ms. Banerjee's actions and warned that India will not remain silent.
