German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrives in Ahmedabad, on his first official visit to India

Friedrich Merz, Federal Chancellor of Germany, arrived in India on Monday for an official visit from January 12-13 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two leaders will meet to discuss progress on the India-Germany Strategic Partnership, which recently marked its 25th anniversary. Their discussions will focus on trade and investment, technology, education, skilling, mobility, defense and security, science, innovation, green development, and people-to-people ties.
