The airport is expected to be operational by June 30, 2026, creating direct and indirect employment opportunities for thousands of unemployed youth in the region. Naidu urged the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, to establish more skill development centers to meet the demands of companies that will be located near the airport. He also requested the construction of roads to facilitate smooth travel for passengers and boost economic activity in the area.
