Suvendu Adhikari, leader of the opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, alleged that his car was attacked by Trinamool Congress workers on Saturday night while returning from a public event. He sat on a dharna at the Chandrakona Police Station demanding the arrest of the attackers and alleging police inaction. He named nine individuals involved in the incident, all known to be affiliated with the Trinamool Congress. The BJP MLA also shared video footage of the attack showing two groups of men engaged in a verbal altercation before the alleged assault.
