Abhishek Banerjee, TMC National General Secretary, met with two migrant workers, Asit Sarkar and Gautam Barman, from West Bengal’s Balurghat constituency, who were detained in Maharashtra for alleged Bangladeshi citizenship. Banerjee criticized Sukanta Majumdar, the BJP MP and Union Minister for Balurghat, claiming he did not support the workers during their detention and failed to inform the Maharashtra government about their wrongful arrest.
