
Fadnavis meets hunger striker Jarange as Maratha caste certificate deadline looms
On Sunday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reached out to Manoj Jarange, who is on an indefinite hunger strike demanding Kunbi (OBC) caste certificates for Marathas by September 12. In Antarwali Sarati village, Jarange criticized Deputy CM Eknath Shinde and others over a farmer event in Parbhani. Fadnavis said the government would discuss legally viable demands but not violate Supreme Court orders. If unmet, Jarange threatened to march to Mumbai.
