CITU to fight against move to privatise education, heath and job sectors

The CITU (Centre of Indian Trade Unions) is preparing a charter of demands to address alleged privatization in education, health, and job sectors. The 18th All-India CITU Conference saw delegates discuss problems faced by workers and alternatives to existing labor policies. They also called for a pro-people and anti-corporate stance against the proposed privatization of industries like paper mills and airports. The conference passed resolutions demanding safety audits in high-risk sectors, universal pension, scrapping of the NPS/UPS, and opposition to electricity privatization.
