Brahmin group protests, demands cabinet seats for leaders in D.K. Shivakumar-led government

On Saturday, the Kalaburagi Zilla Brahmin Sangha staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, demanding adequate representation for the Brahmin community in the State Cabinet and various government corporations. District president Pandurang Deshmukh and vice-president Shyamacharya Baichibal urged recognition of their community's contributions by including senior Congress leaders Dinesh Gundu Rao and R.V. Deshpande in the D.K. Shivakumar-led cabinet, submitting a memorandum to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar through the Deputy Commissioner. The protest highlighted the need for fair representation and opportunities within government bodies, threatening to continue until demands were met.
