With two existing international routes to Abu Dhabi and Singapore, it aims to offer direct flights to the U.S., Europe, and Australia. The airport, developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model involving GMR, is expected to boost economic growth in north Andhra Pradesh by attracting investments from companies like ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel and Google. Minister Kondapalli Srinivas targets an annual footfall of 50 lakh passengers and aims to curb migration through local job creation.
