Congress reaches out to disgruntled Karnataka leaders with party positions
On Wednesday, after several legislators revolted over not being inducted into the Cabinet, Randeep Singh Surjewala, AICC general secretary for Karnataka, reached out to disgruntled leaders like M. Krishnappa and H.K. Patil to ensure smooth functioning during the Monsoon Session starting next week. The Congress plans to offer party positions and ask chairpersons appointed by former CM Siddaramaiah to resign to accommodate these leaders. Some legislators who had announced resignation threats have since backtracked following warnings from Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
