On Monday, CPI State secretary Binoy Viswam accused the UDF government of supporting the "RSS-BJP agenda" by implementing the PM-SHRI scheme. He criticized the Chief Minister for not understanding that the scheme's memorandum lacks constitutional protection under Article 299 and noted the LDF government did not accept funds from it. Viswam urged the state to secure ₹106.58 crore for textbooks and uniforms from the Centre.
