YSRC President Accuses Govt of Retaliatory Arrests, Seizures
Allegations of political vendetta and misuse of police against opposition raise serious concerns.
On Sunday, YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy accused the TDP-led coalition government of misusing police against opposition leaders. He questioned the arrest of Alur MLA B. Virupakshi and his son from their home, alleging it was in retaliation for protecting a party worker under attack. Mr. Jagan also criticized the seizure of CCTV footage and alleged that several YSRCP leaders were booked on false charges. Published August 2, 2026.
