Telangana Minister Rejects Kaleshwaram Water Claims, Highlights Congress Project

On August 2, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies in Telangana, visited Sriramsagar, Kaddam, and Yellampally projects to inspect water inflows and pumping operations from the Godavari River. He emphasized using every drop of water efficiently while rejecting claims that water was from the Kaleshwaram project barrages, stating it came naturally from Congress-era Sripada Yellampally project. The minister highlighted ongoing rehabilitation work on Kaleshwaram barrages due to structural issues discovered in 2023 and criticized the previous government's irrigation spending and incomplete projects.
