SDPI blames LDF, UDF for BJP’s third term in Palakkad
The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) claims the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) third consecutive term in the Palakkad municipality was facilitated by the "hypocritical stances" of both the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF). Mohammed Ilyas, SDPI leader, argues that the LDF and UDF could have prevented the BJP's victory by supporting an independent candidate for the municipal chairperson's post. He accuses them of enabling fascist forces to remain in power despite their condemnation of fascism.
