
Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Registration Begins, 1,083 Complete by Noon
On Saturday, women began registering for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana at camps across Delhi from 8 am as the portal went live. By noon, 1,083 registrations were completed; the scheme offers Rs 2,500 monthly assistance to eligible women. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the portal, aiming to benefit around 17 lakh women with a total allocation of Rs 5,110 crore. Eligibility criteria include being aged 21-60, eldest female family member, and meeting income and residence requirements. Applications require uploading various documents and are expected to be processed by Raksha Bandhan on August 28.
