On August 1, 2026, Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport in Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh. Built by GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited for ₹5,640 crore, it can handle six million passengers annually and replaces Visakhapatnam airport starting August 17. Mr. Modi will also lay foundation stones for projects worth over ₹17,900 crore, including a semiconductor plant in Visakhapatnam. Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will receive him.
