After Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) threatened to resume protests if all FIRs against demonstrators were not withdrawn, the Delhi Police increased security at Jantar Mantar by deploying additional personnel and welding barricades. CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka accused the government of breaching a July 25 agreement and demanded immediate actions including releasing detained protesters and ending new criminal cases. The CJP also formed a nationwide legal aid cell and launched an online evidence-gathering platform, SAAKSHI. Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal pledged Rs 1 crore for legal assistance to protesters.
