Over 84 lakh voters at risk of removal in Karnataka electoral roll revision: Congress

They urged Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukumar to ensure adequate notice and opportunity for affected electors before any deletion is finalized. Data shows 51.74 lakh permanently shifted, 14.99 lakh dead, 11.61 lakh absent, and 5.62 lakh duplicates flagged out of 5.54 crore voters. Bengaluru districts account for over half the ASDDO list. Anbukumar maintained that the process follows legal protocols with complete documentation. The draft roll is scheduled for publication on August 17.
