In a written reply to Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Ramnath Thakur stated that Bhagirath Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and MP for Ajmer, and BJP MP Lumba Ram received financial assistance under the National Horticulture Board (NHB) schemes in 2026 and 2025 respectively. Choudhary has since refunded his subsidy to the bank, which will return it to NHB. The minister clarified that applications are processed through a transparent mechanism without specific conflict of interest provisions for public functionaries or their family members.
