On July 29, 2026, campaigning ended for the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Patna. Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor, BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha, and RJD nominee Rekha Gupta competed. The bypoll was triggered after incumbent MLA Nitin Nabin joined Rajya Sabha. Kishor alleged BJP used an AI-generated video of former CM Nitish Kumar.
