BJP Ex-Convenor Suggests Shooting Protesters to Restore Order, Sparks Controversy

TG Mohandas, a former BJP Intellectual Cell convenor, defended his controversial remarks suggesting protesters at Delhi's Jantar Mantar should have been shot to restore order. He claimed his comments were satirical and hypothetical, taken out of context after short clips from a YouTube discussion went viral. The controversy erupted over his suggestion to impose curfew, warn protesters three times, then order police firing if necessary. Mohandas also made inflammatory remarks about "mass rapes" targeting left-leaning groups. RSS clarified it does not support such views. Tens of thousands protested in New Delhi demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over the NEET paper leak, with demonstrations turning violent on July 20.
