
Sreelekha Mitra faces arrest complaint for displaying Modi image at protest
Bengali actor Sreelekha Mitra faced legal complaints after joining a student protest in Kolkata on Friday, where she allegedly displayed a distasteful image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP leader Keya Ghosh filed a complaint at Anandapur Police Station seeking her arrest. Complaints were also lodged at other police stations under Sections 352, 353, and 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for provocation, public support for provocative conduct, and defamation respectively. Mitra responded in a video statement expressing readiness to face consequences.
