Floods in Ahmedabad: 900 Rescued from Industrial Park as Highways Close
On Friday, the Ahmedabad rural police closed NH 47 and the Ahmedabad-Viramgam state highway due to flooding. The closure extended up to Bagodra, affecting travel from Ahmedabad to Rajkot. At least 900 people were rescued from Gallops Industrial Park in Bavla by the SDRF and Ahmedabad rural police, while three others were rescued from Dholka by a joint rescue team late Thursday night. The Indian Army, Gujarat police, and AFES also conducted numerous rescues. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited affected areas.
