Kerala CM Alleges Opposition Foments Communal Sentiments Over Waqf Board Delays
At a post-Cabinet briefing in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday, V.D. Satheesan, Chief Minister of Kerala, alleged that the opposition was trying to foment communal sentiments by criticizing his government's delay in appointing two non-Muslim members to the Waqf Board as per an earlier assurance given by the CPI(M)-led LDF government. Four petitions were filed against these appointments, and both the High Court and Supreme Court are considering them. The UDF government will decide based on court directions.
