Students injured as police use tear gas and batons on protesters demanding minister's resignation
Police brutality against peaceful protesters is a serious concern.
At around 4 pm, protesters from a CJP-led march to demand Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation sought refuge at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib after police used tear gas and batons on Parliament Street. Inside, volunteers cared for the injured while security forces maintained order outside. Devan Rathi and his brother Gaurav, both students, were among those treated for injuries sustained during the lathi-charge.
