Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, laid the foundation stone with Devendra Fadnavis and Sunetra Pawar for three elevated road corridors in Pune district on Saturday. The projects aim to ease traffic congestion using Malaysian technology that extends pillar spans from 30 meters to 120 meters, reducing costs. Gadkari also directed high-quality materials use after issues with faulty bearings elsewhere. Work began on the Pune-Shirur, Hadapsar-Yavat, and Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur corridors, which are expected to reduce travel times significantly.
