The projects aim to ease traffic congestion using Malaysian technology that extends pillar spans from 30 meters to 120 meters, reducing costs. Gadkari also directed high-quality materials use after issues with faulty bearings elsewhere. Work began on the Pune-Shirur, Hadapsar-Yavat, and Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur corridors, which are expected to reduce travel times significantly.
