
Gadkari Unveils Rs 16,780 Crore Road Plan to Tackle Pune Traffic
On Saturday, Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, laid the foundation stone for three elevated road corridors in Pune district: Pune-Shirur (53.40 km), Hadapsar-Yavat (31.65 km), and Talegaon-Chakan-Shikrapur (53.20 km). The projects, totaling Rs 16,780 crore, aim to ease traffic congestion and pollution. Gadkari also directed the use of advanced construction technology for these corridors.
