Use of chemical fertilisers root cause of many diseases, says Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a Farmers' Conference in Rewa, advocating for natural farming as the solution to many agricultural challenges. He emphasized that chemical fertilizers are detrimental to health and argued that natural farming increases farmer income while promoting public health and environmental sustainability. Mr. Shah highlighted the government's efforts to develop a comprehensive system for certifying and marketing natural farming produce globally. This includes establishing two cooperative institutions under the Ministry of Cooperation, which are responsible for testing, packaging, and exporting certified natural farming products. He also emphasized that this approach has already benefited over 40 lakh farmers in India.
