India's Skyroot Aerospace Launches First Private Orbital Rocket with PM’s Postcard
On Saturday, Skyroot Aerospace launched Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed orbital-class rocket, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. Initially scheduled for 11:30 AM and later postponed to 12:05 PM, the mission aimed to validate Vikram-1's performance and technologies. The rocket, capable of carrying up to 350 kg payloads, includes an orbital adjustment module and carries various payloads including a lab-grown diamond from Cosmos Diamonds and a postcard from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
