On Friday, Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot inaugurated the renovated Alnavar station in Dharwad district as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had virtually inaugurated it. The station now includes lifts, foot overbridges, and facilities for persons with disabilities at a cost of ₹17.2 crore. Prahlad Joshi, Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, highlighted the station’s modern amenities and noted India's progress in railway track expansion and electrification.
