Modi launches world's longest hydrogen train, covering 89km in two hours
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off India’s first and world's longest hydrogen-powered train from Jind railway station in Haryana. The 10-coach, 3,200-horsepower smokeless train will cover the 89-km Jind-Sonipat route in about two hours. Modi highlighted this as a "Make in India" success and emphasized reduced dependency on diesel due to increased railway electrification since 2014. He also dedicated development projects worth Rs 14,700 crore to the nation.
