
N. Chandrababu Naidu Proposes Godavari-Krishna Link to Irrigate Millions, Save 2,000 TMCFT Water
N. Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, highlighted the wastage of 2,000 TMCFT of Godavari river water flowing into the sea annually and proposed linking it with Krishna to irrigate millions of acres. At a confluence event on July 15, 2026, he noted his government's progress in irrigation projects, including spending ₹92,000 crore since 2014, and aimed to complete 36 priority projects within three years.
