Over 7 Lakh Names in Uncollected Forms Hang Over Karnataka Elections

Over seven lakh names in Karnataka's voter list are under the uncollected enumeration form (UEF) category after almost two weeks of Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision. More than half, 4.15 lakh, relate to voters who moved out permanently; another 2.05 lakh are classified as "UEF Death." BBMP South has nearly a third of these names. Enumeration forms have been distributed to 92.9% of the state's 5.54 crore voters since June 30. Draft electoral rolls will be published on August 5, with claims and objections accepted until September 4. BJP and JD(S) oppose the process, alleging improper distribution methods.
