On July 3, Satluj, a biopic about Punjab’s human rights crusader Jaswant Singh Khalra, was removed from an OTT platform and banned in India within 48 hours. Khalra, abducted and killed in 1995 while investigating illegal cremations of thousands of bodies by the police, prompted a Supreme Court-ordered CBI probe that led to life imprisonment for five policemen in 2011.
