Devendra Fadnavis says BJP doors not open for new parties in Maharashtra NDA
Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra Chief Minister, stated that the BJP is not seeking new parties to join its alliance in Maharashtra. He dismissed reports of BJP central leaders reaching out to the NCP (SP) led by Sharad Pawar. Fadnavis's comments came after reports emerged about BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde meeting with state NCP (SP) leader Jayant Patil. The Chief Minister also attended a high-powered meeting in Delhi convened by Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, to discuss issues related to the multi-state Narmada project. The meeting aimed to address concerns of displaced families and final approval for Maharashtra's river linking project.
