Shah Ends 50-Year Narmada Payment Dispute, ₹2 Lakh Dues Cleared

Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh signed an agreement to resolve a decades-long payment dispute over the Sardar Sarovar Project costs. The agreement was sealed by Union Minister Amit Shah in presence of Union Water Resources Minister CR Patil. The project provides water for irrigation, drinking, and power generation across three states, and Shah highlighted the government's efforts to enhance water security through cooperation and resolution of disputes.
