
Stock Market, Sensex Today, July 7 Highlights: Market Close In Red, Sensex Ends 104.35 Points Lower, Nifty Down By 31.65 Points
Indian equity benchmarks extended gains for the fifth consecutive trading session. The BSE Sensex closed 104.35 points lower at 78,180.72, while the NSE Nifty 50 settled 31.65 points down at 24,398.70. The market was supported by buying in banking and auto stocks, offsetting weakness in the IT sector. Brent crude prices edged higher but gains were limited as traders looked beyond easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The rupee rose 15 paise to 95.28 against the US dollar.
