Nearly 20.14 lakh voters in Odisha have been identified for deletion from the draft electoral rolls, following a month-long door-to-door enumeration process. The BJD has raised concerns over the draft roll, citing numerous genuine names excluded due to minor anomalies. Odisha’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), R S Gopalan, stated that claims and objections will be accepted until September 6th, after which a final voter list will be published.
